A Friend? REALLY?

Yesterday I had another appointment, this one lasting 2 hours.  I would love to say that Penelope has disappeared, but that wouldn’t be true.

Nope, she brought a friend…

They did a measurement on Penelope (she’s 7cm across) and then did a routine check on the left side.  They found another lump.  This one is already 2cm in diameter (not great, when you figure it didn’t exist 4 weeks ago).  I refuse to give this one a name, since apparently that is encouraging them to stay and make my body their home…

I’m not sure what to say or where to go from here.  I have (yet another) doctors appointment within the next week and a half, this one with a breast specialist.  I can’t make the appointment, though.  The OBGYN Patient Access Person has to call the Specialist’s Secretary and THEY make the appointment, then I get a phone call telling me when to show up.

On a better note, finally someone is giving me something to help with my constant nausea (since last October), so that’s a huge positive!

Please keep praying, for those of you out there who pray.

  1. My dear friend, I’m so sorry that you’re having to go through this. I admire your strength and your courage to share it with all of us here, despite the fear that you must be feeling. I am also glad that you’re getting the care that you need. I will pray that you get the appointment with the breast specialist sooner rather than later, and that they will have some answers for you. Much love to you and yours.

Not really sure how to respond. Just know that you have Christ to cling to even when nothing makes sense. I am thankful with/for you that there is something to help the nausea! It has been a long few months. Keep resting in God’s perfect, infinite, holy love for you. I am praying, praying, praying, and I love you very much. always, Malenki

  3. My friend,
I am so sorry that I have been remiss in reaching out to you. I have been thinking about you and your family for weeks. I hope you will let me know if there is anything I can do to help (which, in my case, generally means feeding people). I’m also good at listening, cursing things, babysitting and road rage. Not really sure how the last one fits in but wanted you to have that info just in case.

    Much love. Much.
