Uncle Train came over for dinner tonight, and brought one of his favorite movies (“Twister”) for the boys to watch with him.
They enjoyed dinner AND the movie – it was a perfect family night.
Oh – except for the part where SOMEONE (who might be male and short) left a red sharpie marker where his sister Caterpillar could get to it. And my rug is ruined. And my dining room table. And GO’s blue jeans. And GO’s special “strawberry picking” shirt. But you know, other than that – perfect family night. (Look, it’s been 2 hours and I almost have my sense of humor about the situation back…)

Sometimes I’ve had success getting that sort of thing off hard surfaces with hand sanitizer. Since I don’t use hand sanitizer (on my hands), I was glad to find one thing it worked for… No ideas for the cloth, though!

IT WORKED! (On the table at least!) Namebrand “Purel” Hand Sanitizer got the red sharpie marker out…but it kind of dulled the finish… I would rather have a dull finish (which I am sure can be cleaned/fixed) than red streaks! THANK YOU!!!!

I’m sorry about the rug, table, and jeans … I know it’s been a rough day, but I am proud of you for living in the grace God gives, and for being able to look back and laugh at the situation. I love you SO much! ~ M
