Once upon a time, I met a woman – and was told her favorite holiday was Groundhog Day.

Now, this was a most creative woman, and sometimes a bit silly to boot (which worked well, since she taught 1 year olds), so I didn’t really believe such a thing was possible.  Groundhog Day?  Not Christmas?  Or Thanksgiving?  Why, even the Fourth of July made more sense!

Until I experienced my first Groundhog Day Celebrations with this wonderful woman, and now I truly understand.  To you Punxsutawney Phil may just be an animal.  But to Mrs. B – that’s like saying Mickey is just a rat.

If you didn’t get up at 5:30 am to see Punxsutawney Phil live from Gobbler’s Knob- you might be able to catch a replay here at his official website.

In honor of Mrs. B – may I present some adorable shots of the Frontierville Groundhogs in action.

How sad is that? I didn’t even REALIZE it was Groundhog Day – and that could have been fun with Mr. M … 😉 Happy Groundhog Day back at you! LOVE YOU!!
