Look what I finished! I am so super proud of myself. I choose the fabrics, ironed them, cut them to the right size, stitched them together, ironed them again, pinned on the batting/backing (which was ironed), did the QUILTING on a long arm machine, pieced my own binding, ironed THAT, then put on the binding.
YAY! I am so super excited with what I’ve accomplished. I decided I wanted to do something, then stuck through it the entire way, and in the process discovered I craft I adore. I’m very lucky, in that two of my closest friends are quilters. Auntie M lives to far away to help me with the actual quilting (though she was there in spirit and encouragement), while QB graciously opened her quilting studio and helped me with every question I had and walked me through every step (including making me coffee and holding my hand when I made mistakes).
I have already purchased the fabric for my next two quilts. I am grateful and blessed to find something I love.

Hello, I too am a quilter and think what you have done is marvelous. I know the feeling about ready for the next one. You did a great job and I love the red thread that you used for the quilting. I am a friend of your Dad’s and he sent me the letter as he knows I make quilts too. Lyle in Murrells Inlet, SC

Thanks so much for checking out the photos! Dad has mentioned your quilting before, and I hope to keep going and do many more. I went to my first quilt fabric store and was SO overwhelmed! I did find a cute jelly roll, though, that I just had to get.
